Hello, I have recently finished writing a novel, and am in need of hiring a freelance artist to design a book cover for me. The book is a SciFi Thriller, and has to do with cloning and the super natural. I am ideally looking for someone with the following skills: - Awesome artistic interpretation, drawing and painting (would love to see examples) - A science fiction "junkie" who can help bring my vision to life - Previous experience designing book covers (know the industry, knows the specifications/requirements, has examples for me to look at) - Expert proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop - Intimate knowledge of file formats and digital production specifications - Ability to interpret another artist’s style, vision, and intention - Strong understanding of design principles and production execution - Great communicator - Ability to receive creative direction and accept feedback - Extremely detail oriented Job description: You will be given detailed information regarding the premise of the book and my vision for what the cover needs to incorporate, then I'll give you artistic license to come up with something awesome. I am a digital painter specializing in realistic style and fantastic theme, both fantasy and science. I've worked on several books in recent past and I know well the standards and rules like you linked for eBooks. I love interpreting other's peoples ideas and stories into a stunning visual. But also I don't mind participating in deciding things together with author, I even read the whole books in the past in order to understand the characters and emotions.
