RTS Game UI Menu's artwork etc

Project B2 Engine Currently working on a game in DOS and we need the navigation menu's and in game menu's UI’s designed. this is a Battle Ship game so you need to create artwork that is related to that. The following units of this project have been laid out as follows. USER INTERFACE - all screen resolutions must support VGA and SVGA Screen Resolutions. 256 colours and 16/24bit colour versions too. We require some menus and gameplay dialogs to be created. All screens must be “responsive” to the default mode of the screen. The main screen needs to resemble most RTS games such as age of empires, command and conquer, dune etc.. (google it for inspiration). We also need to be able to hide these screens so that the users can play the game with an unobstructed view so think of smart navigation ideas to hide and open the menu for ease. +HOME SCREEN So for the main home screen all we need is a background image that can be "responsive" to vga and svga screen resolutions and the following item designed.
