PowerToFly seeks an iOS Developer to work on a pathbreaking App for Makr

As an iOS Developer you would work for Makr, a New York based company that has developed a groundbreaking app that puts sophisticated design tools at the fingertips of next-generation makers to create products and print materials. As Makr’s user base grows, it plans to develop new iOS products that you would be responsible for developing, testing and deploying. You would work daily with Makr, but via PowerToFly, so we can enable you to take on future projects with us when your work at Makr is completed. You would be: -Adding new features, products and facilities to the existing App. -Building new aspects of the App, at various scales, from scratch. -Defining application architecture while keeping factors such as UI implementation, data updates, scalability, etc., in mind. -Undertaking custom UI implementation, creating screens which are not reliant on standard controls and even building custom controls if necessary. -Create and maintain CoreData models (with a backing SQLite database), transfer data to and from a server API asynchronously (using the AFNetworking library), create data mappings for complex migration, maintain data integrity, ensure that app data is up to date. -Coding memory-intensive background graphics operations using CoreGraphics which won't crash the app. -Streamlining the in-app purchase process -Brainstorming with the product development team to add exciting new features Requirements -Experience with every phase of iOS app development (both iPhone and iPad), from project creation to app approval -Experience in Xcode, Objective C and core frameworks -Must know about usage of third party libraries, certificates and profiles, adhoc builds, and app submission -Experience architecting complex iOS apps -Ability to implement UIs and innovate when required -Experience with designing and implementing an API backed CoreData data store with asynchronous data updates (preferably using AFNetworking). -An understanding of CoreGraphics separate from UIKit and Core Animation -Extensive experience with in-app purchase including the implementation of fraud prevention measures -Ability to work well independently and within a team, strong discipline and self-management -Excellent communication skills — with a global team it’s essential that each member isn’t shy about communicating
