Changes for xamarin in C# visual studio 2017

We have an existing solution using Visual Studio 2017 with Xamarin. This solution has 6 or 7 forms with a Socket Connection. We have the following issues we would like to have resolved. [login to view URL] have smaller project on Xamarin. One of our Xamarin screens does not wait and display. A brief description of problem. 1.1 In the [login to view URL] class, InquiryByPartPOAuto(string Part, string PO) method, the await [login to view URL](new FlatInquiryPage(heading, description)); displays quick but then goes on in the code without waiting. I need it to wait until the user presses the Back arrow. 
 1.2. In the same class, method InquiryByLocation(), the same await displays the screen until the User presses the Back arrow like it's supposed to. But when they press it, it needs to stay in the method and do the Prompt p = [login to view URL]([login to view URL], new List<string> { "Exit" }, ""); again. Different source issues to resolve. 1. We need to have the hour glass to work on all forms. So from screen to screen it should turn on and back off the hour glass. Some of our socket connections can take up to 5 to 10 seconds to connect and to process and send back the response. 2. We need to have Socket connection messages. So before we send any Packets to the host we want to make sure the Host is found. Can use a ping like function to make verification. We have loaded in the preferences the Host IP Address. 3. We need if the socket is lost because of infrastructure/etc.. reasons that it will reconnect to the Socket. The Listener/socket should be waiting. 4. We need to set a timeout on the Socket Connection and the sending of packets with a message to continue or to exit application. It would be nice to set the Timeout in seconds in the preferences
