Hello, Can you tell me more about your database ? You described 2.000.000 rows ==> OK All in one table ? Or there is a strutures & links between many tables ? How are made the requests ? I mean, on how many criterias search are made ? Which kind of data is searched ? Text or Numerical ? With dates ? If you can provide a table listing that may helps. How do you plan to "qualify" that the project is finish ? Do you have any "benchmark" ? A time to reach ? In case the project is awarded, will it be possible to get a copy of the database for research purpose? or do you provide an access to the db? This will need restart of MySQL restart after each time tuning. Currently how slow your query and searching for specific file?
