Excel VBA project

I would like to create an add in for MS excel that is compatible with excel 97 and newer. The goal is to make some of excel's data analysis functions a little easier to use, but adding a new menu, for some very specific tasks: disaggregating data - presenting the mean or perhaps correlation for every level of a given variable. for example, if i want to compute a mean grade for a test score by gender, i would then "disaggregate" the grade variable by the gender variable. if you know spss, essentially what I want to be able to do is some simple "split file" functions. in excel 2003, this can be done with the subtotals function descriptive statistics - point and click functionality for basic descriptive statistics - mean, standard deviation, percentiles. there are a few more things, but these are probably the most difficult. i would like to be able to specify what the output looks like, and have it go to a separate sheet. if you are familiar with SPSS, i want to get excel to have the same level of simplicity for doing these types of simple data analyses. I would like the menu to lead to dialogue boxes where the variable names to be used in the analysis are taken from the first row. What I am looking for is someone to create the code for doing these types of things, and leave me with the ability to edit the code to change names of menus, add descriptions to dialogue boxes, etc. I have no idea what this will cost, and am looking to obtain some estimates. I will then present the estimates to "the powers that be" at work and let them decide if it if is worth it to them. We dont expect to get something for nothing, but we are a non-profit agency so funding is limited. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform it will need to run on windows 98 and later machines equipped with excel 97 or later
