Here is the situation: 1. I query a database (SELECT) 2. I want to output the query result to the screen and have one of the fields in a input form field ('textbox' I guess). 3. the user will be able to change the textbox's contents if they want 4. the user will press a form submit button and the data will be sent to a PHP page which gets the POST variables and updates the database appropriately Problem: I don't know how to make each input textbox place its value in an array. I can make each textbox have a name like A1, A2, etc, but then I cannot loop through them -- i'd have to specifically call $A1, $A2, etc hard-coded in the file (not good). Solution: How can I have those inputs put their info in an array? I tried using brackets in the name property of the input textbox, but this did not work. I am using PHP v4.x -- I'm sure this is pretty basic, but I cannot think of a succint way to ask this, and so cannot seem to find it on google or anything. Your help would be greatly appreciated -- thanks!
