I require a VBScript file to be modified to do a slightly different function.
Currently the VBScript file is triggered by the mail server to process every mail file that goes through the MTA (Mail Transfer Agent).
So it accepts 2 values from Mail Enable (the MailServer/MTA Software)
then takes those 2 values and reads the .MAI file
********* SCRIPT I HAVE ALREADY AS SAMPLE CODE
1. Detects if their is certain string of characters present in the original email HTML code.
2. Sends the string of characters extracted from the HTML code as well as the message truncated via HTTP POST to a page where it provides a result.
3. The entire process above is logged in a txt file that is created for each day.
What I need the above file modified to is as follows.
********* SCRIPT I NEED
I have found that if people send text emails then they are not being recognised and so I want to change this so we can just read off the subject line.
I have made it so the subject line contains
Whatever the subject line is that is typed UCID:9878798df9sd9
so what I would like to have the file do is detect if there is
UCID:
and if so, then get the random phrase afterwards and send it to the POST section of the file.
I also need to have the MESSAGE part of the email truncated and sent as well by detecting when the first appearance of
UCID:9878798df9sd9
as it will be at the bottom of what we want to truncate, and so if we can send that over, that would be great.
****************************
Basically the script I require is a smaller version of the original and what the purpose of it is, is to scan the email and if a string of characters is found, then post a message to a URL. There is no delete required.
This should be simple if you are a VBScript expert.
Look forward to hearing from you.
## Deliverables
I require the attached file to be modifed to read the MAI file Subject line to see if
UCID
appears and if so, then pst part of the message to a URL.
The URL is made up of the Domain Name which is also detected from the
"To" section and used in the POST.
so we
1. Detect UCID
2. Extract the code afetr it apepars so UCID:508678393454
we extract 508678393454
3. We look for the "To" email address and we extract the domain name from it.
4. We look for the first appearance of the UCID in the message part of the email and truncate everything after it and extract this.
5. We post to the extracted domain name a page such as
[domainname]/includes/[login to view URL]
?ucid=[ucid]&message=[extractedmessage]
