Goal is to develop system to predict short term stock market price movement using Deep Learning/Reinforcement Learning/Q Learning/Transfer Learning approaches employing models like AlphaGo/AlphaGo Zero to accomplish more accurate prediction and greater reliability, as well as to speed up the development process. I would also be interested in using existing DL systems such as those used in object recognition/ImageNet &/or NLP to accomplish the tasks. Note that I have no interest in pursing LSTM type approaches or those that attempt to use algorithms primarily intended for stationary data. In other words, no regression oriented types of systems. I am not working for any company or organization and I am doing this for my own interest using my own money, Mostly, I am doing this to satisfy my curiosity now that I am retired. I do not code but have a strong background in science and technology and a reasonably good general understanding of the basic principles of AI/ML/DL. Any proposals must include a time line with milestones, deliverables and estimated times.

For your data, it will be helpful to use Arima model because it's uses the trends in the past data to predict the future. The ARIMA also uses the seasoning and other patterns. You mentioned NLP, Do you want to use news data along with the past stock data? 3. How much accuracy are you looking for? 4. How much data we can have for this? Hi If you want to work with stock market prediction then probably you should go with unsupervised learning (self organized maps probably or Boltzmann machine). But it still depends on the type of stock market. I could give you milestones and deliverable times but please give me more information over chat. Hi, there are few options here. In most cases just price data (with stocks there is possibility to add volumes) is not enough, but there is also possibility to add sentiment data (twitter, news, GDELT dataset processed by NLP models such as Bert etc.). I do have an experience with tensorflow or mxnet and also hardware to do computation ( 5 x GPU 1080 Ti ). You did write that you are against LSTM but I am curious why? I am also avid investor and traded lot in the past. But before that I will be able to write down milestones, deliverables and estimated times, I need more info.
