Hello all, I need a python script / function that would take as input a picture from disk ( pictures will be 1920x1080 ) and produce 10 most used colors in the picture arranged from most used to least in a list ( #hexa color codes, or RGB doesn't matter ) also needs to handle if the picture contain less colors then 10, for example if the image is pure white.. it would return only one color... or if there are just 3 colors it would return 3... Note that python module "ColotThief" or using PIL to getcolors is not producing correct results... so using other method is needed. ( preferably fast as possible as this will be looped over lots of images.. ) In the end it should produce same results as if I put it into: [login to view URL] sample picture: [login to view URL]

Hello. Few questions ahead. Should we make the colors averaged? What's the threshold for colors averaging? Anyway, let's talk and do the business!

Hello, I can implement for you an application that will take an input image and return the most used 10 color codes (obviously the app will correctly process the case where there are less than 10 colors). I can implement it using Python 3 and OpenCV. Alternatively, if you want super speed I can implement the code in C++ and OpenCV. Thanks and looking forward to work with you, Paul

i will be using python 3.6 and open CV. I wrote 4 days to deliver but I'm sure I would me able te finish un faster. Before the boom of deep learning I used to use opencv for a lot of image processing, lo I know my way around these tools UPDATE: I already have a python script working that extracts all of the RGB values for each pixels. I only need to take the percentages which should be pretty easy. Thats why I reduced my development time to 3 days. P.S. It work with all image sizes not only 1920x1080
