The relationship between politics and administration will be taught with reference to the classical policy/administration dichotomy. Issue papers are short analyses of controversial issues in public policy. They are intended to give you practical experience in critically analyzing policy issues and preparing concise, yet through, summaries for busy policy makers. the paper itself should be written as though you were preparing it for a policy maker (or group of policy makers) with only superficial knowledge of the issue. Final papers must be 10-12 pages in length excluding cover page and reference page font size 12pt Times New Roman word 2003 or 2007 in APA format. paper should be follow the format below: I. Introduction: in this section you should specifically identify and define the issue or problem you are studying and outline its importance. you can also use this section to limit the issue. III. Alternatives: this section should describe various policy options that are available to adress the issue.
