I need data to plot, in Excel, 4 graphs that show the ground profile along East-West, North-South, NE-SW and NW-SE axis for 'X'km either side of a single lat/long coordinate. I require a VBA script that I can run in Excel that will, for a user defined Lat/Long and radius 'X', fetch elevation data as described above (I'm thinking via Google Maps API) and present it in an Excel sheet so I can plot the elevation profiles described above. I'm fairly competent with VBA so just need a working sample workbook so that I can then integrate the code into my own workbooks. I am signed up to the Google Maps Console but will need some hand holding for any set up needed there for API keys etc as I have no experience of it so please allow for this. The purpose of the plots is to determine the ground profile surrounding construction sites so it can be classified for wind load design codes (I.e. to help identify if site is at the top of a hill with slope > 1:5). The spreadsheet this will end up in is for my use only and will not be distributed to others. Happy to answer any questions and consider alternative approaches.
