I have a requirement of analytics using Elasticsearch. The requirement is the following : 1) To schedule a job to read the xml file twice a day 2) To parse the xml file and index it on a certain field using Elasticesearch 3) To build a beautiful dashboard (most important for the demo) - using Bootstrap, d3js, etc. The xml file represents a hypothetical case of the analysis for a database of cars. DASHBOARD DISPLAY The main idea is to segment customers on different criteria for a personalised marketing and an overall view of the customer database. 1) There should be a section in the dashboard that displays total number of cars and total amount consumed (per category ... petrol, diesel, solar) in the current month (or for a particular date range). Next to each of these values, it should also show a percentage change as compared to last month. 2) There should be a section in the dashboard that displays the cars with the highest amount consumed (per category). There should be an option to choose high, low or a range per category. For example, All cars that consume (100-200 Ltrs of Petrol, <50 Ltrs of Diesel or 50-75 Gallons of Solar) OR (>200 Ltrs of Petrol, 50-100 Ltrs of Diesel or <75 Gallons of Solar), ... It should immediately display a (paginated list of all the customers) with these criteria. There should be filters to arrange in ascending/descending order per category. It should be possible to downlaod the list of all these cars in an excel. 3) There should be a section in the dashboard that displays the cars with the highest amount topped up in Dollars or/and Euros, ...
