-Given photo from mobile camera, first detect if there is text in the
image: Good reference as to what I am talking about is "Word Spotting
in the Wild".
-Account for different view points. Of course picture of text will be
more or less head on, but might be slightly off perfect perpendicular
view. Must be able to deal with image having text rotated (not in
landscape orientation) .
-Thresholding of image to account for different brightnesses, hues, etc...
-Segmentation of Text into individual characters
-Running OCR techniques to identify character values.
Knowledge of Java, C++ , Objective C (Android and iOS) will be highly appreciated , but not a must.
