Front End Developer

Job Summary: Project Widgets is looking for a dedicated and highly skilled Front-End developer to join our team on a 6 – 12 month contract working directly with one of our pharmaceutical clients. The ideal developer has a mastery of modern front-end frameworks, and the ability to work with architects to convert designs into perfect, usable applications. This position will require an individual to design, build, debug, optimize and implement solutions in a fast-paced Agile environment participating and working closely with a highly motivated team. You'll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what's being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks is key. Responsibilities: • Analyze user needs and develop software solutions • Work with Project Manager or Product Owner to meet specification needs • Recommend software upgrades to optimize operational efficiency • Collaborate with other developers to design and optimize code • Create flowcharts and user guides for new and existing programs • Document all programming tasks and procedures • Perform routine software maintenance Skills and Knowledge: • Experience working as a developer in cloud-based web applications • Development experience defining, developing, and maintaining REST based interfaces • Experience in building web applications with frameworks such as React, Angular etc. • Highly proficient in front-end languages, libraries, and rendering technologies (JavaScript, Node.js, templating languages, web frameworks, HTML5, CSS) • Experience in optimizing the delivery of code and assets (e.g., images, fonts) to a browser or device (e.g., lazy loading assets, caching etc.) • Expertise in front end design patterns • Understanding of best practices for front end engineering including semantic HTML, accessibility, and responsive design • Experience in translating design mockups and prototypes into working applications • Demonstrated passion for user experience design and improving usability • Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts • Applying Agile product delivery methodologies and principles Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field • Previous experience in software development, computer engineering, or other related fields • Good understanding of core JavaScript and OOJS concept
