Website UI Overhaul

We have custom built, java based website that needs to have the UI rewritten. The current design is about 6 years old and does not work well on mobile devices. We are looking for a front end guru to rebuild our existing UI using modern techniques, libraries and correctly implementing a responsive design UI. We would like to follow a very similar layout to what we already have, however, we would like to make it a little more sleek and modern. We just simply need the front end template, our backend developers will integrate the new template into the code. We mainly have 3 types of pages right now. A two column (homepage), a one column (terms/faq) and a audio player page. This can found by clicking on any program and then clicking on any of the top stations. Website mockups and wireframes are encouraged before work begins so we can agree on the new look before implementation. We recently overhauled the UI of our Android apps and we like the direction it is going. We are may be interested in tweaking our existing website layout slightly to look a little closer to our apps. [login to view URL] [login to view URL] Requirements: * Take the existing site UI and rebuild it using LESS, HTML5 and javascript best practices * Responsive design -- must scale and render well on all devices * We would like to stay away from AngularMVC for now as our MVC is already controlled in the backend code (using Spring MVC). * Add a touch of "modernization" to the look and feel. * Must be very simple to use. Our target demographic is middle age men and women. * New template must be fast loading, cut out the bloat of unnecessary javascript libraries. All javascript must still work correctly after it is minimized. * Our site is 100% ad supported so ad space must exist in the new layout. * Deliverable will need to be a bundle of HTML, JS, CSS/LESS files. Using dummy data for building the template will be fine.
