Hello what operating system are you using. Are you sure just one of the disks had issues? Usually if just one disk is faulty it should not kill the entire array.

How much disks with problem? You should replace the this with problem, if you had more than one than you can't recover because some pieces of files are in disks you lost.

Hello, I have been using Linux for over 7 years and I have used many RAID setups (5, 10, with HDDs and SSDs, hardware RAIDs etc.). Over the time I have reassembled and recovered data from many systems (including NAS devices). I also have experience with file recovery tools for Linux if need be. Can you provide access to the server so I can asses the situation? Thank you for your time! Best wishes, Ionut

Dear Sir, I am Thomas, a 22 years old french student that just from university in 2010. Back when I was a kid, I only had a computer to play with, so I spent all my time on it. That's why I now have more than 7 years of experience in Linux systems administration, and I have knowledge with the most popular Linux distributions. I worked as a network/system administrator at various companies where I set up WebServer, DNS servers, Databases, Monitoring, Backups, Scripting jobs, Virtualisation and so on. If no data has been written on the disks, data recovery should be possible. Do you have some place to store it ? Or do you just want your array to work again ? What happened, what were you trying to do ? You can checkout my profile and see how much Linux-related project I successfuly completed. Please come and have a chat with me, I am kind and helpful. Regards,

Doesn't something simple like this work ? mdadm -A /dev/md9 -f /dev/sda2 /dev/sdb2/dev/sdc2 /dev/sdd2 And then manually add partitions that don't make it at assembly.

Hello, I have experience as system administrator and raid configuration. I think I can help you. As far as I can tell, it is a radi1 configuration. I have the following questions: 1) how many disks there were initially, 2) how many disks are now ok, 3) the output of the command: "cat /proc/mdstat", 4) is the system running now. Regards
