Hi, If you are trying to setup VPN server on Linksys EA4500 to allow windows 8.1 from outside the internet to connect VPN to the linksys's public IP, then you are out of luck. Linksys EA4500 does NOT have VPN server built in, therefore, it can allow you, from outside, to connect to the INTERNAL VPN server inside the network. This VPN server may be a windows 2008/2012 server, or else. If you need help, let me know so I can guide you with proper solution. Kind regards, Bao
