Database interactive selection

Improvement to Gedafe, Generic Database Framework, written in Perl is required in the part of the interactive selection of database entries. A click on the button opens up a new window in which one may use interactive input, by which entries appear, and by click, the entry is then selected in the underlying window, while the small window is closed. 2 approaches are already written in Java, and available as open source. I need an approach written in Perl, which may be fully used with Gedafe modules.
