MVC and DD Mentor

Mentoring question: I have successfully made a hybrid project with MVC and DD (Dynamic Data)with a [login to view URL] and 2 nested Master style sheets called [login to view URL] and SiteMVC.master. My jQuery getJSON call to an MVC controller to get data for the menu works ... but I am having a problem with the relative path when I click a DD link. Using Firebug I can see the paths: With an MVC link the path is <[login to view URL]> With a DD link that opens a table called tblSeverity , the path is <[login to view URL]> notice "MenuList/GetJSON" is appended to tblSeverity instead of from the application root which is mvcapp ... so obviously the call to the controller does not take place and I do not get a menu. This is the jQuery function: function PaintMenu() {$.getJSON("MenuList/GetJSON" , null, function(data) {for (var i = 0; i < [login to view URL]; i++) {$(" [" + data[i].Text + "][1] ").appendTo("#divMenuList");}});} The question: How do I use application root in the getJSON call for BOTH mvc and DD links (heads up: this is a trick question since DD pages are not inherited from [login to view URL]) ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform I am an experienced programmer moving from asp.net (framework 1.1) to Visual Studio 2008, c#, jQuery, asp.net 3.5, MVC and dynamic data. I will have other questions and I'm looking for best practice solutions: I need someone that I can ask and rely on for good, solid, dependable answers. I don't mind paying, but the quality of the answers are very important. Please only bid if you have at least 3 years experience in C# and have worked with real projects that use MVC and Dynamic data.
