Intercept Process Internet Connection & pause/resume it.

We need a minimum of two functions in C++, VB6, or Delphi. If you choose VB6, no .dll is needed. If you make it in C++ or Delphi, a .dll is needed that can be called by a VB6 program. Basically, we are working on a program to hook or monitor the connections of any E-mail client. We need one function that will detect when any internet connection is made by a POP3 E-mail client and then pause the connection, but not freeze the program. Then our program will run some code, then the other funtion we need will resume the internet connection, after our code has finished. Functions could be: Call StartInternetHook(hwnd) or something like Call StartInternetHook("[login to view URL]") Call PauseConnection Call ResumeConnection Either the .exe name or the hwnd of the E-mail client can be used as the input. Must work on Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP. **Note: If coder can think of a better way to do this (to run my code before an E-mail client checks mail), that is also OK, but must be approved before we accept your bid.** ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
