Porting Unix code to Windows

We are working on a project which requires that a C++ project be ported from Unix to Windows, to be compiled under Visual Studio 2005. The project is not very large (~9000 lines) and doesn't use many OS-specific features, except for mem mapped files. The project is a library for natural language applications. Its basically a Markov model of consequetive words in a sentence. 2. The core functionality is compiled as a static lib. with some command line utils which uses that lib 3. I can give source code for inspection, will post it somewhere shortly 4. I would like the memory mapped code rewritten to use the Boost lib for cross-platform compatability 5. There are some other, minor Windows incompatability, eg. fseek, ftruncate, which needs to be dealt with. 6. The are no gui, threads, forks, networking. There are basic file functionality. 7. It compiles under Linux, gcc 4.1. the code is complete & compileable 8. It was written only a couple of years ago. 9. I prefer it in visual studio 2005, but if you do it on 2008 etc and I can redo the project file, then no problems.
