This project is not intended for a novice client side JavaScript programmer. It is specifically designed for a software coder that is advance in his knowledge of client side JavaScript. The project is very complex in its final form and requires a coder that is patient to work on a long term project. The project was already started using a coder that completed 95% of the project. The coder has shifted to another project and now we need a coder to fully understand the project and take it to full completion. Please read the attached '[login to view URL]' document for full software specifications and details. The final project is a single web application written entirely in client-side JavaScript and DHTML. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). * * *This broadcast message was sent to all bidders on Tuesday Apr 17, 2007 8:05:29 AM: We are receiving several similar queries from potential winning bidders/coders. I will attempt to brodcast a message to answer the questions for all to benefit from. First, the most common question we are recieving from bidders is why we have chosen such an unconventional solution to producing this web page. The answer is quite complex, so I will answer by saying that research and engineering exercised to freeze on a particular technology is very extensive, almost two years worth. Unfortunately, we have other auxilary systems and a business model that prevents us from utilizing a more common technology like ASP, JSP, PHP, and other server side solutions. Our systems engineer has given the only technolgy solutions that will satisfy our complete requirements. Second, we have recieved a question regarding whether the previous coder is still available to query on the project. Unfortunately, this coder is no longer with our company, so queries can only be accomplished by two methods: doccumentation and queries to us. We strongly encourage before any queries are sent to us that you first read the complete doccumentation provided before sending any queries to us. We are happy to answer questions, but we appreciate an individual that has diligently studied the doccumentation first. Third, some of you have asked if this project is a server side or client side project. The answer is that this is a heavy client side scripting project with less than 1% involved server side. No connection from the client browser to the server DB will be performed, as stated in the doccumentation. Respectfully, Bruce * * *This broadcast message was sent to all bidders on Wednesday Apr 18, 2007 7:18:57 AM: Here are is one of several specific examples of the quality control work that we expect the selected coder to work on with this project. There are many others, but it is very important to us that the coder fix the current code to follow the software requirements specifications outlined. 1) Variable name use. There is a specific variable naming format that the coder should follow, as noted in section 3.1.2.1. * * *This broadcast message was sent to all bidders on Friday Apr 20, 2007 4:51:20 PM: Hello, There have been some questions posted regarding the complete source code provided on this project. The files associated with the zip file on this project contains the complete source code and various data folders that empower the application. The three image folders, however, were not included in the zip file because they contained over 70MB of files. If you would like to have me FTP these folders to you, please let me know and I will send them over. Simply provide me with a host address and login credentials.
