few changes on magento website

i need two simple changes: 1. side categories: split the cats in half... e.g. from headline cat1 cat2 cat3 cat4 to headline1 cat1 cat2 headline2 cat3 cat4 also right now i have an arrow next to the cats name... if the user clicks it - it will show the sub-cats... make it that i just need to click the cats name 2. some of my products have custom options... if you click on add product to cart... it will jump to the product detail page because you need to choose an option. i need a nice pop-up that tells the customer to choose an option.
