Help installing PHP script with MySQL db

I have a opensource script I would like to play with, but I'm not sure on the install. See [login to view URL] I am trying to get this to run in a seperate directory on my server. Attaced is the entire source code file which includes the simple install directions for this script. I believe I have the DB set up correctly just some minor problem in the configuration. Use your ftp client to chmod all folders 777.
