Hi. Shouldn't this be first about proving and demonstrating the concept of matching existing answers in the database to the the one asked? That's not trivial. Once you solve that, then you can begin thinking of any API integration. Thinking in specific terms i.e. Slack right now isn't the right way to proceed. If you successfully demonstrate it with a PHP (or any language)+ MySQL prototype, then it becomes applicable to any system or web application that has repository of answers - Quora, Reddit, forums, whatever. Integration opportunities are now far greater than the narrow, specific one you are envisaging with Slack. Sounds like an interesting project, and since you were thinking about commercialization and scaling, I thought I might offer some suggestions.
