Web Design, Support & Repair

We are looking for skilled developers/webmaster to repair, maintain, and continuously improve upon the [login to view URL] website. The site is suppose to be a creative community and is built in php. The prior developers fell short of a desired end product so we are looking for a strong candidate(s) to run with and complete the project. This document lists current issues that need to be addressed on the existing site. Things that either should be available but are not or items that simply are not working properly. REPAIR  General Usage  Pages load so slowly that people get knocked off or leave. This is NOT due to HIGH Traffic! Coding must be fixed.  Times out & kicks you off WAY too quickly.  The TV Clip needs to be hosted on [login to view URL]  Task bar should require ONE click. Home page is supposed to have a bit of flash, but not on the nav bar, where it’s only a hindrance to the functionality of the site. – It currently only works properly for people using Firefox.  "Featured artist should be dynamic & chose from artists' 'default photos' on their profile  Put a sm & lg size restriction on pics to standardize & stop skewing images.  'View more pics' control doesn't work right  Rate it" should refer to either people or art – not whichever pops up randomly.  Battle/VOTE: viewer needs to be able to choose an artist's work from the gallery & score it & we need to be able to easily see a tally of the votes. It should NOT be A or B? from random dynamic pics.  Messages should be auto sorted: read, sent, new, saved, etc (see MySpace for examples)  Quizzes are impossible to fill out & if you have to 'go back', it erases all of your work.  "Invite" should be able to import from Outlook  There should be a place where people can clearly go to upload performances/art/recipes… whatever & then decide where they want to post it -> profile, gallery, forum, rating…  There should be only one HOME page  Forum: Where are posts?  Content / Navigation / Placement:  "About us" needs a text bubble on the home page  Need RSS feed into the 'Events' space at HOME – Come to find out, that function was never created in PHPfox. So, it's an empty graphic!  Even if advice column is a forum, it should be accessible through the playhouse.  "Help" only has 'code' coaching & no help using the site.  Need "Help" page that explains the functions & features of the site & how to use them.  Site Map  Populate the “Are you an ArtSlut Quiz & Advice Column & interviews. Content to be provided.  Under 'gallery' & 'featured pic', no new featured pics have been added.  Calendar needs content – rss feed and user defined contact  Calendar is separate, should be combined from the 'Events" feed & needs to be laid out better on its page.  Include name & hotlink when a pic is featured, sending viewer to artist.  Polls need to be updated – dupes & unused  After logging out, there should be a 'return to ArtSlut' button.  It's not at all clear that you can use an 'Importer' to duplicate your MySpace page to our community. This info needs to be clear & on a more appropriate page.  "Importer' doesn't work consistently.  Forum topics should show the poster's picture.  Please remove country flags.  Verbiage:  Use consistent language (please use same as MySpace) 'Profile' is called 'my account', 'my page' etc./ settings should be 'edit profile' 'submit items & my items' should be edit photos, videos & Mp3s' – for example. My Items is not clear – please change.  ArtSlut needs to be used as One Word, throughout.  Email notification for all: blog/forum/comment… & Please use the 'ArtSlut Speak' text I sent you.  Playhouse – Name Change?  "Battle" STILL Needs to be changed to "VOTE"  REMOVE the audio alert, when you mouse-over the task bar.  The word 'Settings' under My Page (which should be 'edit profile'), is very misleading & needs to be changed  "View Battle leaders" should be changed to "See who's winning"  Design:  All variations of logo MUST have the ® symbol & any variations must be approved.  Please use standard boxes & design guides, to avoid pixilated boxes & varying space between the boxes.  'ArtSlutTV' on HOME is too small & off center + verbiage to 'watch ArtSlutTV' is too small to read.  "View Battle leaders" should be changed to "See who's winning" & it should be enlarged for visibility, where it is + available to click, from the HOME (when not logged in)  IM list needs to be noticeable + info on how to use it???  FIX ANNIE icons! She's NOT fat & squashed!  Upload video, pics & Mp3 forms should be visible & easy to understand – this should also be spoken of on the HOME  The playhouse page is totally inconsistent  'Browse Boxes' are WAY too big & poorly placed. They shouldn't take up the entire first view. ADDITIONAL REQUIRMENTS:  Site Features  We are not married to the design at all and would like to have the look and feel made more consistent through out the app.  Ask ArtSlut Advice Column as a forum, but w/ easily accessible & obvious links  Dynamic photos on HOME Page  Place to 'add funny videos & flash games'  Ability to comment on images under 'browse'  Admin access to feature members under 'gallery' to view images by category  Under HOME: news (ok), but no "Announcements"  Marketing and Webmaster Services  Purpose: "to enhance current website by providing a flexible & robust online presence"  Funny, Viral email for marketing  Content Updates  Graphic Designs
