The assignment is a Python for finance assignment and consists of 2 parts, (all have very clear instructions and examples on how to do it and it should not take more time than a few hours to a day.) in short: 1. CAPM The assignment is to estimate the CAPM betas of the stocks of the stock index , then estimate the above cross-section regression, and finally make a plot of the security market line superimposed on a scatter plot of (β̂ i,r¯i)(β^i,r¯i) . 2. in this question we construct VaR estimates for the stock market based on the RiskMetrics model, and backtest them with the DQ test. We will re-use the data from the previous question. - Import with panda - Create VaR forecasts for the entire period - backtest and plot The project is due in 7 days so someone needs to be avaiable packages used: - Pandas - Numpy Project is in Python and done in Jupyter notebook
