SEO - link building etc Google top 3 placement for 1 keyword

SEO needed for one keyword only. [login to view URL] only. I have a domain that is over 6 years old but has no backlinks or content - I can add content and write articles if needed. Google returns 8.4 million results for this keyword but the sites at the top have only around 200 - 300 backlinks. The sites that rank 1-5 in google are only 3-4 years old. This keyword is only around 3.5 years old. What I need: Ranking of at least 3rd on page 1 needed.
