Hello, We have used customized nagios to track network activity on the network. At one of my previous employers, the internet was being choked. I have extensive experience of monitoring and troubleshooting large scale corporate network. I need more clarification on the actual network infrastructure in place where you facing High BW utilization issue. If you have managed network devices like Cisco Routers or Switches in your affected network then Analyzer is not required to track source of high BW utilization. Otherwise I would suggest PRTG , Orion or Whats up softwares to track the BW utilization graphically.
