I am looking for an experienced digital magazine designer to create a new magazine from scratch. This will be a digital delivery only, so you will need to be able to show examples of clean page designs that will show up beautifully on iPads. Your experience will include designing digital magazines with video content, ads, links, etc, and uploading the the Apple Newsstand. You could also have experience in print magazine design as some issues may go to print and a fundamental understanding of good magazine design is important. I would like someone who is willing to have strong creative input and who will have a unique vision for the publication, that will make it stand out on the Apple Newsstand. It would be useful if you had experience using Magcast as a delivery platform. Given the small screen size, the covers and pages need to be simple and striking so I would like to see examples of your previous work like this - preferably of magazines that you have designed and that are for sale on the Newsstand now. The magazine will be 48-64 pages per issue.
