My company, based in the US, is starting a new game website with a space theme. It is a resource management type game, similar to Warbook, Travian, OGame, etc.
What we need is a web designer to create a web interface design for the game including: 3-4 main pages (front page, messageboards page, in-game page and out-of-game page), a logo, a border for our flash map, and general html design elements (div styles, table styles, borders, buttons, checkboxes, etc). We will also need a section for resources at the top, a main menu on the left and a header (for the logo, a banner ad 728x90, and a small mini menu) and footer as well as image icons such as for planets, ships, and resources.
We will be doing all the programming aspects for the site, so there is no experience with flash, javascript, database, etc. necessary. We only need the design components.
We have already started work on the game and are expecting a release within the next few months so we would need the design work to be finished within that time frame. We will be readily available to help refine what we're looking for and available to give more details about specific pages and design.
We would like a general estimate (given the above description) of the rate you would charge and some links to previous work or samples you've completed in your reply. International applicants welcome. We are available to pay by bank transfer or by paypal for international professionals.
Previous experience designing web based games is a plus.
We're a small, US based team of programmers and designers who have spent way too much time playing Travian. The game sounds interesting, and we'd love to hear more details and, hopefully, be a part of it.
