Ecommerce Music Merchandise Store + Ebay Store & Listing Tem

The Rock Vault Store Design Spec Overview We are about to expand our music merchandise company and require a fantastically designed ecommerce store based on the open source cart magneto ([login to view URL]). We trade in clothing and merchandise of all the latest and greatest rock/indie/metal artists and are about to increase our stock range x10m we cover bands such as Rolling Stones. Beatles, Motorhead, Slipknot, Iron Maiden, Metallica and much more. We have chosen magneto as it is the most compatible with our chosen mult channel stock control system. We aim to launch a national printed advertising campaign and therefore it is imperative that our site does not only impress our customers but functions perfectly. We have had a small business for a while on the eBay platform ([login to view URL]) We also have an ecommerce store based on a monthly subscript store www.tigercommerce.com. ([login to view URL]) We are unhappy with the current store both in functionality and design. The project contains two parts: • Design and implementation of ecommerce store (based on Magneto). • Redesign of Ebay store and listing template to best match the magneto site. The domain [login to view URL] is registered to us through 1&1. The Brand So Far and what we do and don’t like As you can see by visiting our sites we have began to develop a brand which is now recognised on ebay and remembered by our fans. What we DO like: We like the concept of our logo and do not wish to alter it beyond recognition however we do not feel it is to the standard we would like. For example the ‘For Those About To Rock’ does not follow the curves of the banner and is somewhat blurred. We also feel the logo seems a little to blocky and wish it to be smoothed out. We also need a logo version with some form of the web address incorporated for branding of T Shirts, Business ect. We are also very happy with the brand colours of orange and black. Key Elements We Require • Consistent design over both ecommerce and ebay. • Grungy rock feel using our colour scheme. • Involvement of the band logos where possible. • Easy navigation of all products including a specific ‘Band Selector’ • Ability to offer a ‘10% Off Your First Purchase’ coupon code to move our evay customers over to the store. • Elements of flash on the home page but also a jpeg alternative for non flash enabled browsers and devices. • One of the most important elements for us is visibility of stock levels on clothing. If a product has four options ie S – XL the stock of all four options should be visible from the first product page before the users has even selected a size. • Gift Wrapping option on all products. • Finding a suitable host with the correct capacity for the magneto script. • Store News Section with Admin functionality. • Sagepay Integration We believe the majority of the other functionality is already available in magneto. Design is key and it is extremely important we put across a great image to our customers.
