I would like to replicate the transaction download feature in Quicken. I am tired of the issues with Quicken. I would like to create my own alternative for managing my finances. The core issue is my ability to download the transactions from a bank or investment firm. There is clearly a standard for doing so as many applications use a similar method including GnuCash, Moneywiz, Status, CountAbout, MoneyDance and Tiller. It appears that some of these may use services like Salt Edge and Yodlee which is fine if the cost is reasonable. Please, reply if you have experience doing this type of thing.

Hi, I need a formula and eventually a macro that would change a certain original text format into another format. The original text contains recurrent terms such as "/", the letter A, "-" and "USAA". Before the "/" we can have an unlimited number of letters. The "A" is always after "/" then we see "YYMMDD" then the letter "C" or "P" with a number attached to it that can be unlimited as well. The goal is to rewrite into a different format: the date should be "MM/DD/YY", the "USAA" should be "US", the word "Equity" should be added, etc. You will see examples in the excel. Thank you
