This project consists of merging the data on three excel spreadsheets into one sheet. I have data for many different variables (the columns) covering many similar countries spread across three sheets in Excel. I would like the observations for each of these variables aligned by country and by year so that the columns represent the country, the year, and each variable. I do not have 100% overlap between the countries represented and there is missing data for some variables on some years. Nevertheless, the rows should cover 1970-2012 for each country and each variable- including blank spaces left when there is no data for those countries/those years. I have completed the operations for the first country, Afghanistan, on sheet 4 as a model to follow. Specifically, I merged the data from sheets 1-3.
