529766 Product Category Sorting

This is a simple job yet labour intensive. I require my product catalogue of roughly 2,900 products to be sorted in to categories so that they may be uploaded to zencart. All the products are gifts (birthday, Christmas etc.). They currently reside in an excel worksheet and they do not require inputting in to a website or anything elaborate like that; an excel sheet will suffice. I don't mind what means you use to sort the date (macros, scripts etc.).
